Dear Mercury,⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When the only dance photos you have from the past year are screen shots... 😆 💃🏼 📷 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My sweet beagle boy. He was 12 going on puppy...until a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to witness Harrison’s physical decline. It has been rapid and we don’t know exactly how much time we have left together. I am worried we won’t know what is the right thing to do for him. Already we are faced with very difficult decisions about his care and possible interventions. We don’t want him to hurt; it is breaking our hearts. He’s our first baby 💔 .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The quiet moments. Let’s not lose sight of them. Like many others I am practically jumping out of my skin to get out there and do all of the things. To do the whole roaring 20s thing people keep saying is coming (complete with fringed flapper dress and empty cigarette holder). But let’s make sure we still create places in our homes that ground us and allow us to breathe and be in total peace and comfort...after returning from dancing all night in the club. 🕺 💃🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

May the sun shine warmly upon your face ☘️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What happens to the rejected schemes? Is there a creative graveyard somewhere? If there is, the one would be interred there. I just can’t bring myself to refile the samples from this one (which stage of grieving is that exactly?). Here lyes (the creative graveyard is in 17th century New England obviously...) all the unrealized decorating plans. They were with us for an all-too-brief moment, and then passed on quietly to the next level. Not unwanted or unloved, only misunderstood. Rest In Peace. 🪦 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Throwback to the wee early days of quarantine...when we thought this was all a quaint, brief inconvenience. I think our spa day lasted approximately 4 minutes until everyone proclaimed boredom. But it was a good 4 minutes. 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The day began with a minor heart attack, thinking someone was trying to break into #KRIProjectGoldenrodHill 😱, then realizing that the carpet installer was, in fact, scheduled to be there 😅, and culminating with these pics of a gorgeous stair runner 🤩. I am in love with the striking simplicity of it all. 💙
