[And sometimes a Friday Family-Friendly Find falls on a Saturday! It’s just one of those unexplained phenomena of the universe…yep, that’s it ;).] There are some home furnishing and decor items I honestly struggle with, for one reason or another. Most often, the problem is with functionality and/or durability. One such category is bathroom accessories.…Read More

For this week’s Friday Family-Friendly Find, I wanted to feature something to make homeschooling and remote learning easier, more comfortable, and better organized. It’s so interesting to me how the concept of a homework space has shifted over the past five months. Before, the trend was really toward more of a communal area downstairs, near the kitchen, and now, everyone (grown-ups and kids alike) seems to need their own dedicated space apart from one another to focus and participate in Zoom classes/meetings without disrupting or distracting everyone else.

What is better than lounging in a cozy, inviting corner chaise longue with a good book (or podcast, or Instagram feed) and your favorite beverage? Nothing, ever. Well, maybe napping – though I’m personally not a napper (I always feel more tired when I wake up!). When I am designing living spaces for clients I am usually angling to see if I can fit one into the furniture layout. But I’m all about finding unicorns, and today I’m sharing one with you.Read More
Today is Juneteenth. I am ashamed to say I never bothered to learn the origin of the holiday until recently. Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of the last remaining slaves in the Confederacy, in Texas, on June 19, 1865. Laundry…it never ends, does it?
